1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account and using Globe Skimmer ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. Globe Skimmer is developed and maintained by Stitch & Snare.
2. One-time payment & access
Globe Skimmer requires a one-time payment of $19.99 for lifetime access. This is a non-refundable payment that grants you access to the full app and all future features at no additional cost. No subscriptions, no recurring charges.
3. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may not share your account with others or transfer your access to another person. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.
4. Your content
You own all content you create in Globe Skimmer — itineraries, notes, photos, and trip data. By using the app, you grant us a limited licence to store and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. We do not use your content for any other purpose.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or reproduce the app
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on others' rights
- Interfere with or disrupt the security or integrity of the service
6. AI features
Globe Skimmer includes an AI travel assistant ("Itchy") powered by Anthropic's Claude. AI responses are for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional travel, legal, medical, or financial advice. Always verify important travel information from official sources.
7. Fair use of AI features
Itchy and other AI-powered features rely on third-party AI and data providers that charge us based on usage. Your one-time payment covers reasonable personal use of these features for planning your own trips. We reserve the right to apply fair-use limits (such as a monthly cap on AI requests) to prevent abuse or excessive automated use, and to adjust these limits as needed. Core app functionality — including your itinerary, budget, packing, and map tools — is never subject to usage limits and remains yours for life regardless of any changes to AI feature limits.
8. Third-party services
Globe Skimmer relies on third-party providers to deliver certain features, including Anthropic (AI assistant), Google (maps and places data), Stripe (payment processing), and Resend (email delivery). We are not responsible for outages, errors, or changes to these third-party services that are outside our control. Your use of features powered by these providers may also be subject to their own terms and policies.
9. Availability, changes & discontinuation
We aim to keep Globe Skimmer available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, modify, or add features to the app at any time. We will never remove core functionality without notice.
We reserve the right to discontinue Globe Skimmer entirely, at our sole discretion, including in circumstances where continued operation is no longer commercially or technically viable. If we discontinue the app, we will provide reasonable advance notice where possible and a way to export your trip data before shutdown. Your one-time payment does not entitle you to a refund in the event of discontinuation, and does not obligate us to maintain the service indefinitely.
We may suspend, limit, or delete accounts and associated data at any time — including for inactivity, violation of these terms, or as part of discontinuing the service — subject to reasonable notice where circumstances allow.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time to reflect changes to the app, our practices, or applicable law. Updates take effect once posted here, with the "last updated" date revised accordingly. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Globe Skimmer after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Limitation of liability
Globe Skimmer is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stitch & Snare shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
12. Governing law & disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Globe Skimmer will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in St. Johns County, Florida, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
